Feel Lifted’s motivation is to provide regular employment, education and medical services for the ‘Sinai Bedouins’ so that as ‘Desert Dwellers’ they do not become extinct.

Mohammed Shahat

Mohammed is a Bedouin and has grown up in the Sinai. He is a qualified teacher of over ten years, speaks four languages fluently, English, Hebrew, Arabic and Bedouin. Also working in tourism for the past seven years, Mohammed has vast knowledge, experience, respect and love for Sinai, its’ people and culture.

Mohammed has this message,
‘To give a hand to people everywhere in the world. Take them outside of their modern lives and experience life in the desert’.

Mohammed’s passion for Sinai and his desire to preserve it for future generations has encouraged him to share his message across the world. He can give you the secrets of the desert allowing you to respect the Bedouin way of life. He believes every person should have the chance to step outside of their normal lives, look within themselves and gain energy, taking the experience back to apply to their day to day lives.

Mohammed is very motivated by his desire and wishes to provide employment and education and medical services to the desert communities.

Maggi May

Maggi, originally from London, first visited the Sinai peninsular seven years ago on a diving holiday where she qualified as an Advanced Diver. She returned to Sinai on numerous occasions, visiting and living with the nomadic Bedouins, enjoying their hospitality whilst gaining in depth knowledge about their culture, ancient sites and the vast landscape.

Exploring the Sinai has been such an amazing experience for Maggi that she eventually returned permanently.

She is very experienced as tour leader taking her guests to the desert and Cairo and now takes many visitors on desert safaris and tours. In 2008, together with Mohammed, they founded ‘Feel Lifted’.

Maggi is a qualified therapist in the Ayurvedic based practices of Indian Champissage, (Head massage), and Facial Rejuvenation (Natural Face Lift massage). Our Bedouin guides are no longer surprised when they see Maggi giving a treatment in the desert or by the sea. Maggie’s love of Yoga together with Marcia, one of the top therapists in her field and our Bedouin family is producing very exciting special Desert Yoga and Health Safari programmes ‘there is no better place to practice yoga than in the desert’.

Marcia

Marcia has been a regular visitor to Egypt since 1994, initially travelling around the country and diving, qualifying as a Rescue Diver. She joined ‘Feel Lifted’ after a truly unique, exciting experience travelling with the Bedouins in the Eastern Sinai desert, exploring the magnificent canyons, beaches and visiting the ancient sites. This experience stayed with Marcia for several months after her trip so much so, that she wishes Feel Lifted guests to enjoy the ‘healing effect’ of this ancient Biblical land.

Marcia is also a qualified Osteopath, Naturopath, Iridologist, Herbalist and Acupuncturist. With many years of expertise behind her she will be working closely with Mohammed and Maggi on the special Feel Lifted Desert Yoga and Health Safari programmes. Marcia will be based in the UK as one of your main contacts.

Teresa

Teresa has been regular visitor to Egypt since 1998 and was instrumental in introducing Maggi to the Sinai Peninsular. Teresa has also enjoyed a ‘Feel Lifted’ adventure and experience. She wishes to portray the ‘Feel Lifted’ message to all our guests and as part of the team, she will be one of your main UK contacts.

Gamal Abo Mahmoud

Gamal is a Bedouin Guide born in Dahab. He believes very strongly in the message of Feel Lifted, He has been working for over 10 years as a guide and is one of the most professional and respected guides in Sinai.
